Grilled Plantain



This was a really easy side dish for our ceviche the other night. It would also go great with grilled fish.

Ripe Plantain
1 teaspoon oil

Heat grill to high. Rub plantain with oil and grill for 10 to 15 minutes turning a quarter turn every 4 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Thanks for this. Plantains (Platanos as I call them.) are one of my favorite things. I can NOT get them here to save my life! It is killing me! Especially while being pregnant. I have never grilled them so I will have to try this out when I go back to the states for my visit this Summer.
It looks so yummy!
