Field Trips

Now that we have our house on the market, the boys and I will be going on a lot of excursions while people look at our house. On Friday we went to the zoo in the morning, rode on all the rides at the mall, and then went for sushi (Asher is becoming a master at the chopsticks).

Visit to the Dinosaur Museum

Last week we took the boys to the Field Museum in Chicago to check out the dinosaurs. Both of them loved it and definitely could have spent more time there.

We've finally hit the pavement!

After six years of living in the mid-west we are finally making a move back to the west coast. Now that our house is officially on the market, reality is setting in.

Headphones

Asher loves snuggling up to watch movies or play Angry Birds on the Kindle with his headphones.

You can run...

...but you can't hide! Elie likes to run around with minimal clothing. As I was trying to put his p.j.s on one night he ran and hid under the table refusing eye contact as if that would make him invisible.

Fat Lip

Poor Elie fell flat on his face while running around the house with Asher. This is like the third fat lip he's had.

Silly Boys!

Talkin' back...

... already at the tender age of not-yet-two?

A couple of days ago Elie was asking to watch a movie saying, "Ay dis!" (I want this) as he's pointing to the TV.

Moises says, "No, Elie."
"Why?" comes out of his little mouth.
Moises and I look at each other in shock trying not to crack up!

Yesterday I heard him say it couple more times after I had refused to let him have something or do something.

Snow?! In Iowa?!

Last weekend it snowed quite a bit but then melted a couple of days later from our bizarre warm weather. A week later, another snow storm shows up out of nowhere, stays two days just for our 60 degree weather to return again.

That being said, we have had very short windows of opportunity to build snowmen this winter. So Asher and I jumped on the chance. We didn't have much success keeping the snow balls intact (I was never any good at building snowmen) enough to build anything that resembled anything like one. We did however, have fun rolling around, playing in it!

Pretty

Today Asher was going around measuring everything he could think of with his tape measure. I told him to measure my head.

I said, "Wow, 20 inches! Mommy must be smart!"
He answers, "No, you're not smart. You're just pretty!"

OUCH! (Okay, no offense taken. I know he's only trying to say nice things to his mommy!)
