For my birthday this year my dad got me a sewing machine. It is so nice to get back into it... it's kind of like finding a long lost friend. It all starts to come back to you. So I am slowly getting into some sewing projects as I find time and here is one of them. I tie-dyed some white knit fabric and made it into a skirt.

Look at you all domestic and such. Remember when we did all those awesome mosaics? I still have mine. Of course, they are in storage in Texas right now but I still love them.
I also taught myself to sew but I have not attempted to make any clothes yet as my sewing machine (also in storage) is what my gramma calls a "disposable" and really isn't that great. But I have made some fun things with it. Including some funky bags to carry around. What kind of sewing machine did you get?
