Last week I took Elie to the zoo while Asher was in school. Now that he has dropped his morning nap, I can take him to do things, just the two of us. This time of year the zoo is empty so Elie basically ran free where ever he pleased, with Mommy right behind him. It was so fun to watch how excited he would get to see all these animals in person that he's been reading about in his books. He got very enthusiastic making all the different animal sounds as we approached each one-- as if he were saying to them, "I'm such a big fan of you, can I have your autograph?!"
He also enjoyed crunching through all of the leaves near the zebras.
