Headphones

Asher loves snuggling up to watch movies or play Angry Birds on the Kindle with his headphones.

You can run...

...but you can't hide! Elie likes to run around with minimal clothing. As I was trying to put his p.j.s on one night he ran and hid under the table refusing eye contact as if that would make him invisible.

Fat Lip

Poor Elie fell flat on his face while running around the house with Asher. This is like the third fat lip he's had.

Talkin' back...

... already at the tender age of not-yet-two?

A couple of days ago Elie was asking to watch a movie saying, "Ay dis!" (I want this) as he's pointing to the TV.

Moises says, "No, Elie."
"Why?" comes out of his little mouth.
Moises and I look at each other in shock trying not to crack up!

Yesterday I heard him say it couple more times after I had refused to let him have something or do something.

Snow?! In Iowa?!

Last weekend it snowed quite a bit but then melted a couple of days later from our bizarre warm weather. A week later, another snow storm shows up out of nowhere, stays two days just for our 60 degree weather to return again.

That being said, we have had very short windows of opportunity to build snowmen this winter. So Asher and I jumped on the chance. We didn't have much success keeping the snow balls intact (I was never any good at building snowmen) enough to build anything that resembled anything like one. We did however, have fun rolling around, playing in it!

Pretty

Today Asher was going around measuring everything he could think of with his tape measure. I told him to measure my head.

I said, "Wow, 20 inches! Mommy must be smart!"
He answers, "No, you're not smart. You're just pretty!"

OUCH! (Okay, no offense taken. I know he's only trying to say nice things to his mommy!)

Shoo, don't bother me!

Super Food

Watch what happens to their muscles after these boys eat their super food muffins.

Helping Mommy Peel Carrots

Elie took his carrot peeling job quite seriously. That was until he began chasing Julio around the house trying to feed him carrots. Julio wasn't the least bit interested.

Raiding the Cupboards...

I went upstairs for just a minute and this is what I find them doing!

Thrill Seeker

This is what I deal with on a daily basis... Asher jumping off couches and tables, Elie scaling walls. Boys, boys!

... with the Flowbee!

Asher was offering some of his cautionary words of wisdom to Elie. In the first video he is warning him to be REALLY careful not to fall from the chair because he'll go "boom" and crack (referencing poor Humpty Dumpty). He then proceeds to tell him all of the body parts that will get cut from that fall. He is speaking from experience mind you! In the second video he sums it all up with "cut your hair", with the Flowbee. That's when I finally broke down laughing because I give Asher his haircuts with the Flowbee! It's sort of an inside joke in our family but if you're unfamiliar with the infamous Flowbee click here to become enlightened!

What does the horse say?

Puzzle Mania

Elie LOVES puzzles. Especially anything with animals. He can put this is a pile of eight different 12-piece puzzles together by himself. It's so funny how he always puts the head/face pieces together first.
